Ingredients
8 eggs, separated
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup almonds, chopped finely
1/8 cup orange juice
grated orange rind
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 cup matza meal
Directions
- Lightly beat egg yolks with sugar, add almonds, orange juice, orange rind, spices and matza meal.
- Beat egg whites until firm and fold into the egg yolk mixture.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees (F) in un-greased tube pan with wax paper on the bottom.
- Let cool completely in pan upside down.
