Ingredients

1/2 box of matzah (approx.)
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed well
12-ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees (F)
  2. On a greased cookie sheet, arrange matzah in one layer, covering the entire pan. In a saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar. Boil until mixture coats a spoon, and then spread over matzah.
  3. Bake 4 minutes and remove from oven. Sprinkle chips on top and bake one minute.
  4. Remove from oven and gently spread melted chocolate to cover as completely as possible. Sprinkle with nuts if desired.
  5. Refrigerate until completely cool. Break into pieces and refrigerate in covered tin.
